I came across this list of 8 differences between the U.S. and Germany. As a group of individuals who are interested in this topic and who have done a fair amount of travelling throughout Germany I thought this would be appropriate for us to discuss.
So, what are your thoughts? Do you guys agree with this article? Why or why not?
I think this article brings up a lot of interesting points as far as the differences between America and Germany. One of the more interesting for me was the differences in driving. Though I've never been to Germany, the Autobahn is famous for not having a speed limit, and that always sounded crazy to me. I didn't understand how that could be a safe way to travel. But the author's perspective, wherein German drivers are more courteous and understand the difference between the right and left lanes is very interesting to me. And it makes sense. I don't know if it would ever work in America, but it definitely seems to work well over there.
